Introduction
River cottage is 1½ miles from Tobermory on the
road to Dervaig in a peaceful, rural setting.
The cottage is set in its own private garden with
grass and flowerbeds to the front and rear.A burn runs past the end of the
garden but the cottage grounds are fenced. Deer can often be seen grazing as
you look towards the woodland from the bottom of the garden.
There is parking for one vehicle beside the gate
and an additional vehicle near by.
If you enjoy bird watching, the garden birds (
chaffinches, collared doves, siskins, house sparrows,tits and many more) are
frequent and numerous visitors. Bird seed is provided if you would like to
keep the feeders topped up.
Close by can be found buzzards, golden eagles and
the white -tailed sea eagle hide with ranger led visits. A heron also
frequents the burn.
